Inspace announced as Fringe Venue for the 77th Edinburgh International Film Festival   

For the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe we are delighted to announce our partnership with the 77th Edinburgh International Film Festival as one of their Fringe venues for this exciting relaunch. Visit Inspace from the 15th-21st of August to see it transformed into a cinema theatre.

An Obscure Camera | Artist in Residence

We are delighted to announce Nic Sandiland, artist and co-founder of creative production company Flexer&Sandiland, as our Inspace Artist-in-Residence this June. The focus of Sandiland’s residency will be on An Obscure Camera, an immersive participatory light installation, incorporating a live camera feed, to explore notions of ‘following’, ‘public space’, ‘the everyday’ and the ‘camera’s gaze’.

Find out more about how ‘The BOX’ interactive artwork has come about including how it all started back in November 2023, when Scottish artist, scientist, and physician Fiona Smith visited Fraunhofer MEVIS in Bremen to develop this work and concept, as part of the “STEAM Imaging V” residency program.

Artists at Inspace Gallery question authenticity and ownership of AI generated voice 

A new exhibition at Inspace Gallery bringing together international artists working with sound and emerging technologies to explore deep fake audio. Premiering as part of the 2023 Edinburgh Festivals, the exhibition is a collaboration between Inspace Gallery, the Institute of Design Informatics and Creative Informatics
